InteleNet Launches New Backup and Recovery Services
Customer Will Have More Reliable and Convenient On-Demand Options to Restore Data
Irvine, CA – January 25, 2007 – Intelenet Communications , a leader in on-demand managed hosting services, today announced a substantial upgrade to its backup and recovery products to provide added customer value. InteleNet is now offering an online server backup system in which customer’s data is backed up to InteleNet’s disaster recovery location, a secure data center in Phoenix, Arizona. This new system combines the latest advancements in integrated online technologies to offer InteleNet’s customers fast and reliable recovery of their critical business data, storing it safely off-site, and provides additional assurances in the case of a local disaster. InteleNet’s online backup solution encrypts all of the data before it is transmitted through a secure communication tunnel and then keeps it encrypted so only authorized users with the correct keys can decrypt it.
InteleNet will offer its customers a series of options concerning their backup files allowing the customers to tailor their backup solutions to their unique needs. A customer will choose its incremental and full backup frequencies and data retention period, and will choose from available options such as periodic archiving of the full backup data to tapes and storage of the tapes at a secure third party tape archiving facility. This Data restoration will be accomplished over private LAN, which will provide InteleNet’s customers with access to backup data when and where it’s needed — for any reason – allowing for immediate data restoration which will significantly reduce downtime costs. Thus, a customer need not be without access to its critical data for hours, let alone days. If a customer experiences a loss of data and needs to immediately get its data up and running, traditional backup and recovery methods can require more time and effort than is desirable, including the time and expense to obtain the stored tapes. One of the great benefits of this new online backup will be that when a customer needs to recover from a site disaster or data loss — or wishes to restore data to a different location for any reason — all that the authorized users will have to do is contact the InteleNet NOC, which will log on to a Web interface, click on the files the customer wants to restore and specify the location the customer has designated for restoration. The restore process will begin automatically, recreating data at the desired location.
Finally, because every customer has unique backup requirements, InteleNet’s future upgrades to its backup system will allow its customer to chose though the secure customer portal the manner and frequency of how and when its data is backed up.
Once fully implemented, this new system will allow customers to audit access to their administration management system for additional security as well as change control.
