Join InteleNet Communications, a leading provider of on-demand managed hosting services, and play a critical role in our continued growth. The System/Network Engineer will be a part of the Engineering team in InteleNet’s Irvine, California data center. Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the System/Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for product design and development, including the following:

• Assisting Director of Engineering in completing various engineering research and development projects and roll outs of new products and technologies;
• Assisting Director of Engineering in designing, testing, documenting and implementation of Layer 2 – Switching and Routing Infrastructure, Layer 3 – IP Infrastructure, Core, Upstream, Security Systems, Content Management Systems, and Monitoring Systems;
• Assisting Director of Engineering in overseeing network-related vendors and coordinating with vendors for new product development and enhancements, including negotiating exact technical requirements;
• Assisting Director of Engineering in responding as highest level escalation support for engineering issues;
  Providing on-call support as required;
• Maintaining a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer and network systems technologies, architectures and products; and
• As requested by supervisor, serving as customer interface on large or complex customer orders.

• Ability to plan and execute complex, cross-functional projects, with strong background in project management;
  Solid experience on Internet based datacenter network infrastructure including Office LAN and security architecture;
  Solid knowledge of different CISCO routers, switches and network equipment;
  Solid knowledge of different firewall systems such as PIX and Fortinet;
• Deep knowledge of Internet based network security design, routing protocols including various types of dynamic routing (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, etc.);
  Solid knowledge of datacenter network design and implementation;
• Competency in some of the following: web load balancing, network monitoring, SSL acceleration, VPN infrastructure, etc.;
  Exposure to WAN backbone, frame relay, and switching circuit;
  In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP etc.;
  Solid knowledge of SNMP and other network management protocols and systems;
• Good knowledge of Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems related to network;
  Excellent spoken and written communication and organization skills;
• A "can do" attitude and a passion for excellent customer service;

• B.S. in a computing or engineering field, or equivalent;
• Three to five years experience in datacenter environment or close equivalent; and
• Network certification (or equivalent training/experience) a plus.
